ExperienceI teach four subjects: Science, Math, Language Arts, and Social Studies. I enjoy teaching Language Arts the most because it is such a joy to see my students express themselves creatively. Under the umbrella of Language Arts there is Phonics, Reading, Essay Editing, Public Speaking, and Writing. Subjects such as these provide critical skills which are important in all other fields of study and are also important outside the classroom. In addition to language skills I help students with organization and study skills. Every student deserves a quality education. Learning is about understanding why an answer is marked correct; this is more important than simply getting the correct answer. Each student learns differently. As a tutor it's important to tailor your session using different learning styles to engage each student. I graduated from St. Joseph's University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education. I have a certification for Elementary education grades K-6 and special education grades K-12 in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. After graduation I taught in many schools, most recently at the First Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey. I enjoy watching the Yankees and NY Giants, reading, and playing sports.
