I have a masters in educational administration from Montclair State University. Following my graduation from MSU, I began teaching elementary school students in a Title 1 district. I am skilled in teaching math and English concepts, as well as special education. I have experience in helping learners who are struggling with a subject. Through efficient and effective strategies, I can help a student improve their understanding of key arithmetic, reading, and writing concepts. I believe that learning is best achieved when the student is having a good time. I choose my teaching methods based on my student's likes. For instance, if a student is a music fan, I can use music to help them better understand basic English grammar. As a tutor, I believe that patience and humor are key components to education. Without these, it can be challenging to engage the student and keep their attention. I can help students to prepare for their tests, whether they need to review for the ISEE or learn strategies for the SSAT. In my free time, I love sports. I coach a local baseball and basketball team for kids. I spend time with my three younger brothers, as well as play video games and music.
